(Finger on the) Pulse

(Finger on the) Pulse

My finger on the pulse,
You're a symbol in my lucid dream.
I fall apart. I go to extremes
I always wonder, is life really what it seems?
Or am I just floating on a boundary
That I cant escape. Set me free
I want to float away
Find myself on the side of a highway.
Sugar-drop summer pop

Alright I'll bite
Your neck like I'm a vampire
In new attire
Subsequently I'll drag you down to my level
And hold on too close
My finger on your pulse.
It's been too long
Since I felt human
So I'll feel you.
I want to feel like
how it feels like
to be like
you
Slipstream on your soul
Follow you over
Is there far to go?
I could just let go
And fly out into the darkness
Travel at the speed of thought
Wish I could
Keep my finger on the pulse
It might not matter
If you're along for the ride

Boiled sweets in extreme close-up, backlit
